News round-up

Thanks to a crazy week, I haven't had a chance to update iMerlion for a while so here's a quick round-up of the important news of the past week.

- Lion is now available for US$29.99. For more about Lion, Macworld has the review as well as an overview of what's new. Don't forget to read their excellent Lion installation guide first.

- Apple has released new Macbook Airs with Core i5 processors and Thunderbolt and a new Mac Mini. Decisions, decisions.

- Apple had another amazing quarter. It reported revenue of US$28.57 billion and a net profit of US$7.31 billion, up 82 percent and 125 percent over the same period last year. Revenue from the Greater China region grew more than six times. The iPad brought in US$6 billion, twice as much as Dell's consumer PC business.
