Round-up: Apple's blowout quarter; Tim Cook on Android; More on iPad 2 resolution; the white iPhone resurfaces

- Another record quarter for Apple. Sales were US$26.74 billion (up 71 percent), net profit was $6 billion (up 75 percent). Apple sold 7.33 million iPads, 16.24 million iPhones (up 86 percent) and 4.13 million Macs (23 percent).  (Macworld)

- During the earnings call, Tim Cook talked about Android tablets, and discussed Apple's performance in different markets. For example, sales from the greater China region (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) grew four times to US$2.6 billion. (Macworld)
