Update: iPhone users are loyal, Lord Vader is a companion, tablets eat up PC sales and Android poised for top slot in Europe

- iPhone users are most likely to stay loyal to their phones while Microsoft users are least likely. Some 59 percent of Apple users are loyal to the brand, followed by 35 percent for RIM, 28 percent for Android, 24 percent for Symbian and 21 percent for Microsoft. This was according to a survey by GfK of 2,653 mobile phone users in Brazil, Germany, Spain, Britain, the US and China. (Reuters)

- Tablet-like devices like the iPad will make up 10 percent of PC sales by 2014, according to a Gartner forecast. (AppleInsider)

- IDC says the Android platform will be the top selling smartphone platform in Europe by next year. Android currently has a market share of 23 percent, behind Nokia's Symbian (34 percent) and Apple (24 percent). (Bloomberg).
