The Scoreless Music Suite, which includes the app CHORDiCA, was the winner in the Mobile Application category at the SiTF Awards 2010 on Thursday night.
The suite beat three other nominees to take the top slot.
Said company founder Joash Chee: "It feels like a great honour to be recognised by the judges of SiTF who come from various walks of life and experience, and to be given advice from them after they have heard my presentations and upon winning the award."
To celebrate, Joash is going to continue to keep CHORDiCA free.
As a winner, Scoreless received a trophy and the possibility of taking part in the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance 2010 competition. According to Joash, the intangible aspects of being an SiTF awards winner are just as important. "To me, the recognition and credibility should help go a long way in establishing a greater presence both locally and globally," he said.
Joash is now planning another music related app, but one that takes a different approach from CHORDiCA. "Where CHORDiCA is built to excel in 'live' performances, it does not ease a person into the Scoreless Music method," he said. "We are developing something that we hope will have a different market appeal (and thus value)."
