BuUuk About uses augmented reality to find points of interest around you

Apple has finally approved BuUuk About, an iPhone app that uses augmented reality to help you locate points of interest.

Start the app, turn your iPhone sideways and hold it so that the face is perpendicular to the ground. You will then be able to see information superimposed over the view.

Among other things, this app will help you to locate taxi stands, swimming pools, schools, restaurants, post offices, MRT stations, banks and ATMs.

You can adjust the radius that you want to use, the outer limit being 10km.

This app has a really nice, easy-to-use interface. Selecting a point of interest to find is easy, as is changing the radius you want to use. You can get a map view by angling the iPhone so that the face is parallel to the ground.

BuUuk About is free. You can download it here.
