A pleasant surprise awaits some people who reserved their iPhone 4s at a SingTel store. SingTel started calling people yesterday to tell them that their set was ready for collection.
Developer Muh Hon Cheng received a call from SingTel yesterday and he was told that his set would be ready for collection today. Hon Cheng placed an order at a SingTel store on Thursday after failing to reserve a set at the midnight launch.
SingTel started taking orders on Thursday afternoon but within two hours, stopped taking orders, saying that all sets meant for the launch had been snapped it. It then encouraged people to go to an authorised SingTel store to reserve a set there. At the time, the carrier did not indicate when stocks would be available.
It looks like the stocks have arrived and the iPhone 4 pipeline is indeed flowing, though we don't know what the quantities are like at the moment.
