M1 sells iPhone 4 online

M1 users who missed out on the iPhone 4 launch and want to avoid queuing up in the rain now have another option: they can buy their iPhone 4s from M1's online store.

Delivery is as early as tomorrow, which sounds like a great deal for those of us who don't mind the wait.

The link to buy the iPhone 4 is not obvious on the website so for your convenience, here it is.

(Tip of the hat to @hawshy and Wenhan!)

Not a M1 customer... why is it so expensive? No S$200+/S$300 iPhone 4 for 2 years plan?

You have to select a model to see the different price tiers

this is ridiculous far as I can tell.
when I click through despite trying to select the iphone lite plan, it's still showing up as $480, plus of course $19 microsim charge. + $200 FRO deposit +$600 FRO iphone deposit. what the heck is that? when do I get it back?
also out of 32gb, only 16gb. maybe if I'd selected that in the first place i'd have one by now?
but it does say it could be delivered tomorrow... i wish m1 would just send me an sms and say they recognize i've reserved a phone, they are out of 32gb (or I'll need to wait at least.. 2 days?), but if I'm willing to take the 16gb I can have it today, just go on down to plaza singapura.
oh, also, the online shop is not reflecting a $100 telco switching from starhub discount. when would I see that?

m1 is not allowing walk-in customers.. so no queueing lines actually.

okay, I called M1.
a) the $800 is because I'm a foreigner. I guess I heard of this before but forgot. maybe it makes sense, basically I'm paying the early termination fee up front and then I get it back if I don't terminate.

b) the woman I spoke with has no idea that you could ever buy iphone online. she repeated over and over and over that the only way to get iphone was to reserve. which I repeatedly asked to clarify a few times: "do you mean now the stock is gone? or that you were never selling online.. because I can send you the link". and she just repeats the same statement again. it's as if I'm speaking to a robot.

c) finally, and no surprise here, she could not provide any information whatsoever about availability, my place in line, whether changing to a 16gb version on my reservation would move me to the rear of that line or possibly even move me forward overall, whether it's any more likely for me to get an email stating availability tomorrow or 1 year from now. I know, I know, I should not be surprised, but data exists somewhere. somebody ordered so many units. somebody purchased so many units. so many appointments are still scheduled. or they are out of stock entirely. maybe they don't know when the next stock will arrive as apple hasn't informed. they could say so!

that $800 bit sucks.
