First round of iPad international roll-out will skip Singapore

As with the iPhone, the international rollout of the iPad will be done in phases, starting in late April. Nine countries outside the US will get the iPad in that round, and not surprisingly, Singapore is not on that list.

Instead, the iPad will go on sale in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Both iPad models, with Wi-Fi only, and with Wi-Fi and 3G, will be released at the same time.

The iPad will be rolled out to other countries "later this year", according to an Apple press release. International pricing has not been revealed.

In the US, Apple's Wi-Fi only iPad will be available on April 3 while the Wi-Fi plus 3G version will be available in late April.
