iGV a hit? Probably

The writing is a little confused but if I read it correctly, the iGV app has been downloaded more than 25,000 times since it was made available on the App Store about a month ago, according to Marketing Interactive, the online version of Marketing Magazine.

Actually, the story says "The Golden Village site has received more than 25,000 downloads since the launch of iGV." I presume the writer meant that the app had been downloaded more than 25,000 times.

(The story also says that "Golden Village has received more than 100,000 hits on its website since the launch of its iPhone application iGV one month ago." Exactly what this means, I'm not sure. Hits is now a somewhat meaningless unit of measurement. Unique visitors or page views are far more useful. In addition, what the website of Golden Village has to do with its iPhone app is not entirely clear either.)

The free app iGV allows you to check out what movies are showing at Golden Village cineplexes in Singapore. It also has trailers but sadly, you can't buy tickets through the app.
