Fastmac's beefy iPhone battery extender makes its debut

Fastmac's iV battery for the iPhone 3G

via Ars Technica, a report of a new external battery for the iPhone. Highlights of Fastmac's 3100mAh battery (called the iV):
  • 24 hours of talk time
  • 72 hours of audio playback, and
  • 20 hours of video playback
  • a flash for your iPhone camera.
Say cheese in the dark.

Cost: US$79.95. Click here for Fastmac's iV page.

Given how I run down my batteries, I'm now a believer in carrying an external battery. Ars has a list of external batteries for the iPhone.
